Shehzada, starring Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon and directed by Rohit Dhawan, had a decent opening weekend. On Day 1, it made almost 6.5 crores in India. The film is an official remake of the popular Telugu film “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo” from 2020, which stars Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar all play significant roles in the movie.
Trade Analyst Call Opening Day Collection ‘Poor’
A 6.5 crore opening on Day 1 is regarded by many market watchers as a very low level. At the very least, a double-digit increase was predicted for the movie. Although the movie was released during the Mahashivratri festival, not many people watched it. The only bright spot in all of this is that the majority of viewers have expressed a strong liking for the movie, and if this trend persists, the box office take on the movie is anticipated to increase.
Critics Give the film a Thumbs Down
Despite all of this, the film received negative reviews from critics. The acting of the male lead is the only aspect of the movie that the critics found tolerable. Kriti Sanon gives the movie the necessary vigour, but she doesn’t seem to believe in the character or position she plays. About the rest of the movie’s cast, the same cannot be stated. When left alone with guffaws, their forced attempts to elicit laughing fail miserably, and they are unable to even elicit the semblance of a smile.
